Year 2000 Six Coin Proof Set – Collectable Coins In Box
In keeping with the year 2000 celebrations, the Royyal Australian Mint has produced this 2000 Six coin Proof Set. The set features the 5c, 10c, 20c $1 and $2 coins with their original circulating designs, arranged in the constellation of the Southern Cross. Valdimir Gottwald’s specially prepared commemorative 50c coin is the showpiece of the set featuring the Australian National Flag emblazoned in colour – a first time in the Siz coin Set. Stuart Devlin, goldsmith to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, created the 5c, 10c, 20c and $1 coin designs, whilst Horst Hahne created the $2 coin. Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverses. All coins in this set are individually struck to the highest minting quality, with a raised frosted design and smooth mirror-like background.
