The SB-900 flash is an evolution of the SB-800 model but still runs on four AA batteries (not supplied) and forms the heart of Nikon’s Creative Lighting System. Larger and radically different in design from the SB-800, the new model offers a GN of 48 (ISO 200/metres).

A powerful flash, the SB-900 has a guide number of 34m at ISO 100 and features a wide 17-200mm zoom range. With 3 light distribution patterns you can find the right style of lighting to suit your current subject, while the ability for the unit to act as a Master or a Slave opens the door for explorations into more advanced lighting techniques.
