Introduced in 1983, the T50 is aimed at simplicity. It has motorized film winding with easy film loading, and operates in Program Automatic mode. This means that the camera sets both the shutter speed and aperture, so all you need to do is focus the lens and shoot.
The controls on the top are minimal, so it is hard to get things wrong, and the zoom lens lets you get closer to the action.
The camera runs on 2 x AA batteries, and is an excellent starter for people getting into film photography.
The T50 is rather a small SLR with a plastic body, auto exposure, auto film advance, a hot shoe and a self-timer, and it will accept film speeds ranging from ASA 25 to 1600.
