Australia Post is proud to present the first edition of our Classic Collection range.
This series pays tribute to the joy that animated and storybook characters have brought to our lives over many decades.

Each design has been carefully crafted to recreate the classic look and feel of the vintage character. Our goal is to celebrate the longevity of these beloved creations, and preserve the wonderful memories they evoke in us all.

In the first release of this series, we present two of the most iconic characters of the last century, Walt Disney’s Mickey and Minnie Mouse. This limited edition is meticulously presented in a hinged gift box and comes with an official Gertificate of Authenticity.

Mickey Mouse
Come on everyone, all together now “M-I-C-K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E”.
That familiar, fun-filled song spells out more than eight decades of smiles and laughter.
Mickey has become an international success and laid the foundation for the Walt Disney creative organisation.

Besides being the personification of everything Disney, Mickey is one of the most enduring characters of our time. His beaming face is recognised around the globe while his endearing personality has captured the imagination of many generations.

Minnie Mouse
Mickey Mouse wasn’t the only star who made an auspicious debut in the groundbreaking short film Steamboat Willie (1928). Mickey’s leading lady,
Minnie Mouse, also featured in the world’s first animated film with fully synchronised sound and she made as much music if not more than Mickey!

Minnie’s courage and spirit is immediately demonstrated when, in one scene, a goat rudely eats her music sheet resulting in her cranking his tail “hurdy-gurdy” style. This happy spark of personality would endear her to generations.

In regards to love, we have seen both Mickey Mouse and Mortimer Mouse compete for Minnie’s affections but (as with all happy endings) Mickey Mouse always wins Minnie’s heart.
