2014 $1 100th Anniversary of the Australian Red Cross Coin & Stamp Cover PNC

The Perth Mint and Australia Post have released a 100th Anniversary of Australian Red Cross with a stunning Coin and Stamp Cover.

As part of the world’s largest humanitarian movement, Red Cross has helped the most vulnerable people in Australia for 100 years.

With a proud history of neutrality and impartiality, the organisation has been part of the fabric of Australian life – whether it’s their immediate response to natural disaster or everyday work to support people in crisis.

Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, this uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a full colour card with window to reveal the coin’s reverse and obverse designs.
The coin’s reverse features the seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement that guide staff, members and volunteers in their activities.
The words surround the official anniversary logo along with the ‘P’ Perth Mints Mintmark.

The commemorative Australia Post 70c Stamp features a vintage Australian red Cross Poster design seeking volunteers.

Postmarked for first day of issue along with Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.

Affixed to the envelop is a commemorative Australia Post 70c stamp.
