Australian pennies, the mainstay of our pre-decimal currency, were minted from 1911 to 1964. The Penny Token combines the reverse designs of two different pennies.
One side is based on the original 1911 design, with the words ‘Commonwealth of Australia’ and the year date around the edge. The other side is based on the iconic leaping kangaroo design, first release in 1938.
